BASIC SECURITY ENHANCED TRAINING PROGRAM

Register now for the upcoming basic security training course. This course will also include, Two Way Radio Procedures & Report Writing for Security Professionals and Professional Work Ethics.

Basic Security Training

Day 1 – Day 5: January 25 – 29   8:30 am to 4:30 pm

The purpose of this 40-hour course is to provide basic knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of uniformed security guards.  This course is required for licensing as a security patrol employee in British Columbia.

Report writing for Security Professionals

Day 6 February 01  8:30 am to 12:30 pm

This course will assist the security individual to become a true professional with the ability to comprehensively and effectively communicate through well written reports.  The course will lay out what a report is, how it is used to communicate and explain the different types of reports.

Professional Work Ethics

Day 6:  February 01 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

This course is designed to give the participant an understanding of good general ethics in the workplace and is based on best practice. The course gives a solid overview of professional business ethics at work and in life. The course covers decision making, which is often difficult, especially when we are be faced with challenging situations where tough decisions need to be made – making the right choice based on your professionalism.

Two Way Radio Procedures

Day 7: February 02 8:30 am – 12:30 pm

A two way radio when used correctly become a vital communications tool for work sites, hospitals, road construction, schools, building construction sites as well as for security personnel working at these types of sites. They are used for communicating information in a timely manner and can be key in providing an efficient and safe work environment. This course will provide the participant with the information needed to use a two way radio correctly, safely and professionally.

OFA 1 and TE  (February 03 & 04 )

Day 8 & 9 This course also includes Occupational First Aid Level 1 and Transportation Endorsement
