ICMH Completes Accreditation Canada Primer Program

Island Community Mental Health (ICMH) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Accreditation Canada Accreditation Primer program!

This is the first step on our quality improvement journey with Accreditation Canada-an independent, not-for-profit organization that sets standards for quality and safety in health care and accredits health care organizations in Canada and around the world.

The Accreditation Primer program involves an evaluation of the quality and safety of the organization’s programs and services. Following a comprehensive self-assessment, external peer surveyors conducted an on-site survey during which they assessed the organization against Accreditation Canada standards.

ICMH  is enthused to use the accreditation process to improve the services offered to clients and will proceed with the Qmentum program. The larger survey is expected to take place early in 2019.
